SEO/Online Monitoring Specialist – Job Description:
Working closely with our GroundFloor Social Media (GFsM) team, GFM’s SEO/online monitoring specialist will be responsible for providing SEO services and monitoring our clients’ online presence and profiles in a client-facing role. The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of best practices in the field of organic site optimization, a strong understanding of social media in relation to the broader media mix and an understanding of the interplay between online/social media and traditional media. The SEO/online monitoring specialist will have full responsibility for clients’ SEO strategies and tactical implementation, as well as online monitoring both real-time and for measurement and reporting purposes. The successful candidate must apply ethical SEO best practices when performing optimization tasks such as keyword research, competitive analysis, content optimization, meta tag creation, link development, internal linking, site submission, etc. Additionally, GFM’s SEO/online monitoring specialist will keep up to date on current SEO/SEM strategies through continuing education, seminars, subscriptions and self-study.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of full-time experience specifically as an SEO specialist, SEO analyst or SEO manager
  • Strong understanding of Web design, applications, navigation and Web 2.0
  • Strong knowledge of user-generated content, Web video and viral marketing on the Web
  • Proven ability to increase the rankings, traffic and visibility of a Web site via SEO; proven ability to achieve first-page search engine rankings
  • Experience developing SEO reports and performing analysis of ranking and analytics data
  • Experience monitoring online activity for developing issues/crisis situations
  • Experience with social media monitoring tools including SM2/Techridgy, Radian6, etc.
  • Experience in using Web site analytics data to discover trends and untapped search terms
  • Familiarity with management of paid search campaigns on Google and Yahoo/Bing
  • Excellent communication skills, including an ability to interact professionally with clients and deliver presentations as needed
  • Analytical thinker, problem-solver
  • Self-motivated and able to multi-task
  • Effective project management skills
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions to clients’ business challenges
  • Degree in marketing, IT or related subject
