Biography | The Real Story
Media Bulldog
It’s a good thing Tricia Bennett has a great sense of humor because before joining the ranks at GroundFloor Media in 2004, she worked her share of less-than-glamorous jobs. For example, she willingly worked at a Milwaukee, Wis. dental office charged with identifying the remains of Jeffrey Dahmer’s victims. Prior to that, she had bitten off more than she could chew (sorry) by signing on for the late shift at a Big Boy truck stop. As you can imagine, this place attracted very interesting clientele in addition to some very unique co-workers. She still recalls, with a shudder, the night that two of the “Big Busboys” locked her in the walk-in freezer until she screamed. She braved this job for, oh, about three months.
But like everything in her life, she takes it all in stride and even chalks it up to ‘life experience.’ Regardless, we’re just glad she’s experiencing life on the Front Range, because it seems to suit her well. Whether it’s camping, skiing, hiking, biking or traveling, just pepper in a little family and friends and she’s happy. Pour on a little splash of wine and sprinkle on the chocolate, and it probably couldn’t get any better for her.
A hardworking wife and mother of two, Tricia has come to admire the absolutely-crazy-yet-somehow-completely-organized lifestyle that she, and others like her, have carved out for themselves. Why? Because she’s so good at it. But even with her hectic schedule, she still manages to make time to check out the indie-rock scene with her husband, who after her old jobs, you might be surprised to learn is a dentist. But you can rest assured that she still avoids truck stops whenever possible.
