In 2008, GFM launched Get Connected as a series of marketing seminars geared toward the local business community. These invitation-only events provide an opportunity to gather in a peer-oriented environment to learn about new trends in the industry, discuss challenges and opportunities, and network with one another.
In 2011, we held two Get Connected events that combined big ideas and creativity:
May 18: Colorado Business Committee for the Arts “On My Own Time’ art show and reception, featured paintings, photography, sculpture and fine crafts by GFM employees, friends and family. The winning pieces from our show advance to the CBCA city-wide exhibit in November 2011.
March 2: Breakfast Watch Party for the annual TED Global Conference “TED2011: The Rediscovery of Wonder” in Long Beach, Calif. The SOLD OUT event was an annual gathering that featured short talks by storytellers, explorers, pioneers and visionaries from around the world.
Stay tuned for future Get Connected event announcements.
"CBCA salutes GFM for encouraging, identifying and acknowledging the artistic talents of its employees and their families through OMOT. GFM helped CBCA showcase the benefits of art in the workplace: fostering creativity, encouraging dialogue and increasing understanding."

"With GroundFloor Media's help, Dress for Success Denver ended 2011 with a 30% increase in funding, celebrated an Annual Appeal that topped 2010 by 24% and began the New Year with press coverage of our 5,000th client. I can't tell you what your funding and pro-bono services have done to enhance the image and public exposure of DFS Denver. I want to especially thank the team of public relations experts who were not just easy to work with, but also a joy and an inspiration. In addition, they also facilitated my staff and me to think about ourselves and our services in different ways."
– Donna Deteau, Executive Director, Dress for Success Denver
"GroundFloor Media's Get Connected workshop brought together local independent female business owners to share experiences, resources, learn from industry experts and most importantly connect with a like-minded network. Laura Love and the entire GroundFloor Media team of influential professionals were inspiring. It was an afternoon of insights from a variety of disciplines (social media how-to and getting your story in the news) and having access to these resources that many of the biggest companies employ was invaluable. I feel grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this 'peers helping peers succeed' movement. And, the snacks were delicious!"

"I am continually impressed with the level of care, commitment and expertise that the folks at GroundFloor Media extend to their clients and guests. The Get Connected marketing event was no exception! The breakout groups were incredibly helpful, and the take-home documents were invaluable guides that I utilized that day. To top it off, the food was fabulous, the gifts were meaningful, and the networking priceless… I didn’t want to leave! Thank you for creating the space for women entrepreneurs to connect and thrive."
– Julie Hammerstein, owner, MaxLife Therapies
"I recently attended GroundFloor Media's PR event for women entrepreneurs. In many years of owning my business, I've never enjoyed a workshop as much as I enjoyed this one. It was a friendly, social, warm, professional event. I learned so much about current PR, marketing and social media. I had critical questions answered to help me in my own business success. And I witnessed a beautiful model of women (and men) supporting other women's success. I would recommend this event to every woman business owner I know."
