GroundFloor Media Named Finalist In 2005 Stevie Awards For Women Entrepreneurs

Agency Nationally Recognized for Outstanding Work for Local Nonprofit

Denver, CO – (January 9, 2006) – GroundFloor Media (GFM) was named a finalist in the "Communications Campaign of the Year" category in the 2005 Stevie® Awards for Women Entrepreneurs. GFM received recognition for the PR campaign it conducted on behalf of the Tennyson Center for Children, the state's largest combined residential and day treatment facility for children ages five to 14. The campaign, entitled Keeping the Doors of the Tennyson Center Open, created community awareness around the sale and impending closure of the Center and ultimately contributed to keeping the Center's doors open.

The Stevie Awards for Women Entrepreneurs,, is an international awards competition recognizing the accomplishments of women executives and business owners. The awards are produced by the creators of the prestigious American Business Awards, hailed as "the business world's own Oscars" by the New York Post (April 27, 2005).

More than 470 entries were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories, including Best Entrepreneur, Best Executive, Best Young Entrepreneur, Best New Product and Mentor of the Year. GFM was named as a finalist in the category for Communications Campaign of the Year.
