GroundFloor Media Wins Four PRSA Silver Pick Awards

Agency Recognized for Outstanding Work with Starbucks, Zima XXX, Umbria and Morris Animal Foundation

DENVER, CO – (October 16, 2006) – GroundFloor Media, Inc., a Denver-based public relations agency, was awarded four 2006 Silver Pick awards for campaigns developed and executed for national clients. The awards were presented by the Colorado Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) on September 21, 2006, at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.

GroundFloor Media received a Silver Pick in the media relations category for work done for Umbria, a Colorado-based consumer intelligence company that analyzes and distills the opinions and perceptions of the online world. Timing of the PR campaign for Umbria was critical, since the blogging industry was saturated with marketing research companies. GroundFloor Media implemented an aggressive, proactive national media outreach program to position Umbria as the leader in the nascent industry of monitoring and measuring consumer opinion online.

In the corporate brand management category, GroundFloor Media received a Silver Pick for community outreach initiatives it implemented for Starbucks Coffee Company. GroundFloor Media created, developed and executed two events in May 2006 to strengthen Starbucks' corporate reputation in the Denver area - Yoga in the Park and Special Delivery. Both events allowed Starbucks to create a unique Starbucks experience for hundreds of local consumers, strengthening its brand equity by connecting directly with its community.

In Spring 2005, GroundFloor Media partnered with Morris Animal Foundation to implement an aggressive media relations campaign. A key focus of this campaign was to increase the number of feline grant proposals submitted by the deadline of October 2005. GroundFloor Media was recognized with a Silver Pick in the fundraising category for the media efforts that led to an increase in Morris Animal Foundation's feline grant proposals for 2006 funding, an impressive 330 percent increase over the grant requests received in 2005.

Additionally, the agency received a Silver Pick award for a media kit it developed for Coors Brewing Company's brand Zima XXX.
