GroundFloor Media Wins Six PRSA Awards and an Hermes Award

PR Agency Recognized for Outstanding Work with Starbucks, Coors Light, National Special Olympics, Children's Hospital Colorado, Electric Rain and Cozi

DENVER, CO – (September 21, 2007) – GroundFloor Media, Inc., a Denver-based public relations agency, was awarded two Gold Pick awards and four Silver Pick awards for campaigns developed and executed for national consumer, technology and nonprofit clients. The awards were presented by the Colorado Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) on September 20 in Denver.

GroundFloor Media received a 2007 Gold Pick award in the community relations category for its second annual “Passion for Parks” event for Starbucks Coffee Company. The event brought together more than 500 community and corporate volunteers to revitalize Denver’s historic City Park.

Another Gold Pick award was given to GroundFloor Media for its work with Electric Rain, a Colorado-based software company. GroundFloor Media helped Electric Rain successfully launch its StandOut product, a new cinematic-style presentation tool and one of the first business solutions built for Windows Vista® users.

Two projects with Coors Light earned GroundFloor Media two Silver Pick awards. The agency was recognized in the guerilla tactics category for its creative street team event in downtown Denver that generated local buzz for the launch of Coors Light’s Cold Activated Bottle, and in the media relations category for the creation of a unique online survey of football fans that increased exposure for Coors Light around Super Bowl XLI.

In the special events category, GroundFloor Media received a Silver Pick award for its work during an on-site kick-off event that offered members of the media a year-out look at the new, 1.4 million-square-foot facility of Children's Hospital Colorado of Denver. GroundFloor Media also received a Silver Pick award in the marketing communications category for its successful launch of Cozi Central, a free online organizational tool for busy families.

In July, GroundFloor Media received a 2007 Hermes Creative Award from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professional for its work with the 2006 Special Olympics U.S.A. National Games. GroundFloor Media successfully managed a 16-month national public relations plan to promote the Games before and during the event, which included special events, media relations and online communications and ultimately generated more than 112 million media impressions.
