GroundFloor Media Recognized as Best Place to Work in Denver

Employees Value Company’s Blended Work-Life Environment and its Commitment to the Community

DENVER, CO – (November 16, 2007) – GroundFloor Media, Inc., a Denver-based public relations agency, was named by the Denver Business Journal as the Best Place to Work in Denver in the small company category. GroundFloor Media has received this honor for two consecutive years, as in 2006 the company was named as the No. 2 Best Place to Work in Denver in the same category.

When Laura Love founded GroundFloor Media in 2001, she did so with the belief that the company would operate based on one key principle: experience. GroundFloor Media is a flat, peer-oriented organization, with an open door policy that strongly encourages two-way communication. The management style is non-traditional with a commitment to ensuring a blended work-life environment where work, family and play are all successfully intertwined – something very unusual in today’s business environment.

“The culture at GroundFloor Media has allowed me to continue to grow in my professional career, while at the same time tackling the responsibilities of being a new mother,” said Kristina Reilly, operations manager of GroundFloor Media since 2005. “It is great to work for a company that values its professionals, yet at the same time places a strong importance on work-life blending.”

Every year, the staff is encouraged to become involved in activities outside of the office. In January 2007, GroundFloor Media launched its Get Grounded® Program. This program offers all team members the opportunity to actively participate in important social causes in their respective communities. GroundFloor Media team members can choose to volunteer time through the donation of paid time off or to receive cash grants to nonprofits, schools or other Section 501(c)(3) organizations or projects for which they volunteer.

According to Wendy Artman, a senior PR manager at GroundFloor Media who is based in Washington, D.C., “The Get Grounded Program allows me the opportunity to volunteer at my sons’ schools each month. During that time, I’m able to watch my boys grow and learn in an environment that can only be seen during the work day. The flexibility of the program is very rewarding for me, and I believe, is equally appreciated by my kids and their teachers.”
