Get Smart Schools Selects GroundFloor Media as its PR Agency of Record
DENVER, CO – (September 26, 2008) – GroundFloor Media Inc., a Denver-based public relations agency, is proud to announce that it has been selected as the PR agency of record for Get Smart Schools, a new nonprofit education reform organization in Colorado.
Get Smart Schools is a group of educators, leaders, entrepreneurs and school officials working together for the good of Colorado kids. The organization’s mission is to stimulate and support the creation of new, high-performing public schools for underserved students in kindergarten through 12th grade in the urban core of Colorado’s Front Range.
As it stands now, Colorado ranks 32nd worst in the nation on the poverty achievement gap in reading and 43rd in math. Get Smart Schools aims to have a big impact on closing that gap by creating a pipeline of autonomous public schools that are focused on the needs of students and on maintaining high levels of achievement.

GroundFloor Media worked with the organization to develop its overarching messaging, as well as promote its official launch in September. In addition to planning the logistics around the launch, GroundFloor Media will endeavor to build brand awareness for Get Smart Schools through targeted media outreach across Colorado’s Front Range.
