GroundFloor Media and Health Care Partners Take Home Three Awards at Colorado Healthcare Communicators 2010 Awards Dinner
Public relations agency recognized for outstanding proactive story placement and editorial on behalf of Children's Hospital Colorado and the Colorado Health Foundation
DENVER, Oct. 25, 2010 – GroundFloor Media Communications, a Denver-based public relations agency, received one Gold Leaf award and two Silver Leaf awards in the categories of media relations and writing during the Colorado Healthcare Communicators (CHC) 2010 Awards dinner, held at The Wellshire Inn in Denver on Oct. 21.

GroundFloor Media received a Gold Leaf award for the proactive story placements it secured for Children's Hospital Colorado to announce the Pediatric Health Information Exchange in partnership with Kaiser Permanente Colorado and Exempla Healthcare. GroundFloor Media has partnered with Children's Hospital Colorado since 2006 on its communications efforts and received the Grand Gold Leaf award in 2007 for its media relations efforts around the hospital’s move to the Anschutz Medical Campus.
For its editorial placement of a bylined article for the Colorado Health Foundation, GroundFloor Media received a Silver Leaf award. Given the nation’s focus on health care reform, the team placed an editorial titled “Shaping Health care Reform in Colorado,” written by the Foundation, in five newspapers across the state including The Denver Post to further the awareness of the reforms implication on Colorado. In addition to supporting its media relations’ efforts, GroundFloor Media provides ongoing social media strategy and support to the Foundation as well.
The team at GroundFloor Media received a second Silver Leaf award for proactive story placements that built awareness for Children's Hospital Colorado Youth Sports Medicine Program with Paralympics and athlete Hannah Pennington.
