GroundFloor Media Honored by the MarCom Awards for Creative Excellence

Colorado-based Qdoba Mexican Grill and Westwood College rise to the top of more than 5,000 international award entries

DENVER, Nov. 8, 2010 – GroundFloor Media Communications, a Denver-based public relations agency, today announced their recent recognition as a 2010 MarCom Awards winner. MarCom Awards recognize outstanding creative achievement in marketing and communication. More than 5,000 entries were submitted for the 2010 international competition.

GroundFloor Media was honored with two awards including the prestigious platinum award for corporate social responsibility – the highest honor in this category – for creating the Qdoba Mexican Grill® “Putting the Q in Community” campaign with interactive agency partner Motive: A Hybrid Agency. The campaign combined social media engagement with nationwide community giving to the Starlight Children’s Foundation. Platinum award winners are recognized for their excellence in terms of quality, creativity and resourcefulness.

GroundFloor Media was also presented with a gold award in social media for the Westwood College “From Zero to 60” campaign. The campaign was recognized for exceeding industry standards in the development of a social media outreach and monitoring program that included a broad range of online platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr.
