GroundFloor Media Engages Clients and Agency Partners to Give Back to the Community During the Holiday Season
Agency and its partners to collect wish list items for Warren Village through GroundFloor Media’s Get Giving “On the Road” program
DENVER, Nov. 22, 2010 – Today, GroundFloor Media Communications, a Denver-based public relations agency, announced the expansion of its Get Giving community program to include a range of creative agency and client partners in the Denver metro area to collect donations for Warren Village in advance of the holiday season. The effort will run through early December and enables GFM to share its passion for community service with the companies and people outside the agency that it works with every day.
“Being grounded in our community is a core value at GroundFloor Media,” said Laura Love, agency founder and president. “By taking our Get Giving program ‘on the road’ and engaging our clients, friends and partners, we hope to have an even bigger impact on our beneficiary, Warren Village. Our hope is to ensure all of Warren Village’s residents’ holiday wishes come true.”
Participating organizations include Bradley Consulting Group, BusinessWire, CCT Advertising, LiveWell Colorado, Motive – A Hybrid Agency, Radius Media Holdings, Relish Studio, Westwood College and Young Americans Center for Financial Education. They are collecting items at their respective offices for approximately four weeks. The GFM team will gather all donation boxes from each company in early December and deliver them to Warren Village.
Warren Village helps motivated, low-income, previously homeless, single-parent families move from public assistance to personal and economic self-sufficiency through subsidized housing, on-site nationally accredited child care, intensive case management, education guidance and career development.
Launched less than a year ago, GroundFloor Media’s Get Giving program is a way for GFM team members, their families, friends, clients and associates to contribute to local organizations in need of charitable donations. Every other month GFM selects a local nonprofit that accepts various donations. The program helps food pantries, animal shelters, schools, women’s shelters and other organizations with which GFM staff members have personal connections. Donations are accepted at GFM’s office and are delivered to the recipients at the end of each collection period. To date the Get Giving program has supported the Florence Crittenton Services (formerly Parent Pathways), Colorado Youth at Risk, Dumb Friends League, SafeHouse Denver and PlatteForum.
