GroundFloor Media Continues to Raise the Bar for Community and Campaign Excellence

Denver PR agency honored by SABRE and PRSA awards; recognized by ColoradoBiz as a top women-owned business

DENVER, May 17, 2011 — GroundFloor Media, Inc., a Denver-based communications agency, was recently awarded national and local recognition for its community service work and client campaigns.

During its annual awards dinner in New York City on May 10, the 2011 North American SABRE Awards honored GroundFloor Media with a certificate of excellence in the community citizenship category for its Get Grounded program of employee volunteerism and community giving. Presented annually by The Holmes Report, the SABRE awards are presented for superior achievement in branding and reputation.

The SABRE Awards also honored GroundFloor Media as a Gold Award finalist for its work with Motive: A Hybrid Agency, in the digital award category for the “Food Lovers Fighting Burrito Boredom” campaign for Qdoba Mexican Grill. The agency was also recognized as a Silver Award finalist in the government agency category for “Complete College Colorado,” a statewide education campaign for the office of former Colorado Governor Bill Ritter Jr. that aimed to raise awareness about the importance of a college degree.

Earlier this month, the Colorado Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) recognized GroundFloor Media in the media relations category for two nonprofit campaigns in support of Children's Hospital Colorado.

  • The agency received a Gold Pick award for “Leading the National with Pediatric Health Information,” a campaign about the importance of electronic medical records that garnered national media coverage in the Wall Street Journal.
  • GroundFloor Media also received a Silver Pick award for “Going for the Gold: Youth Sports Medicine” that featured three-time Paralympic skier Hannah Pennington.

For the fifth year in a row, GroundFloor Media was also included in the ColoradoBiz list of the Top 100 Women-Owned Companies. Based on annual revenue, GroundFloor Media ranked number 55 in 2011, up from 61 in 2010.
