Digital PR Best Practices Shared at SBDC Workshop April 10
DENVER, April 3, 2013 – GroundFloor Media (GFM), a Denver-based, integrated digital and PR agency focusing on strategic communications, social media strategy, crisis communication and reputation management, will join other PR professionals in a discussion about PR in the Digital Age at a workshop presented by the Boulder Small Business Development Center (SBDC). At the Wednesday, April 10 event from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., GFM team members and other panelists from across the state will discuss the importance of blending traditional and online/social media tactics to address proactive and reactive communications in the digital age. Panelists will also share personal experiences, best practices and answer audience questions.
Participants will learn:
- How the media has evolved in recent history and how “traditional” media is shrinking while “new media,” particularly in the form of social media and influencers such as bloggers have emerged
- How the rise of digital communication has changed the way marketing, PR and communications professionals must approach outreach and issues management, particularly via social media
- Best practices for blending traditional media outreach and social media strategies to achieve results
The workshop also provides an opportunity to network with like-minded professionals facing similar challenges and opportunities. Panelists will review attendee press releases and review Facebook pages and Twitter feeds for onsite critiques.
