Nonprofit PR Practice Grows with Two New Clients at Ground Floor Media

Denver-based PR Agency Partners with Habitat Metro Denver and Invest in Kids to Promote Initiatives Supporting Colorado’s Youth and Families

DENVER, May 16, 2013 – GroundFloor Media (GFM), a Denver-based, integrated agency focusing on strategic communications, digital and social media strategy, and crisis communication and reputation management, recently expanded its nonprofit practice to include new partnerships with Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver (Habitat Metro Denver) and Invest in Kids. Both organizations aim to better the lives of children and families in Colorado, and as part of GFM’s partnership, the agency is donating a portion of its labor to support each group’s mission.

Building a Program to Support Habitat Denver’s Carter Work Project

GFM is partnering with Habitat Metro Denver to help with strategic planning, communications outreach and social media efforts to support its involvement with the 30th annual Carter Work Project in October 2013. For nearly 30 years, President Jimmy and Roslyn Carter have volunteered with Habitat for Humanity International and will visit Denver as part of the planned Globeville neighborhood build where they will lead the construction of 11 homes, as well as repair 15 more near the intersection of 51st and Sherman streets.

In the weeks and months leading up to and during the build, GroundFloor Media will work with Habitat Metro Denver to optimize its business, community and media partnerships, and also share life-changing stories about the volunteers and families who will participate in the effort.

Lending Digital Support to Invest In Kids to Help Every Kid “Thrive”

The GFM Digital team is working with Invest in Kids to conceptualize and produce the annual video showcasing Invest in Kids’ services for Colorado youth and families. As a core component of its annual outreach and development efforts, the Invest in Kids video will leverage a number of data points from ongoing research about Invest in Kids’ programs to highlight the community needs and the impact of their services statewide.

Based in Denver, Invest in Kids is a nonprofit committed to improving the health and wellbeing of young children in Colorado. In partnership with community partners, caregivers and donors across the state, Invest in Kids currently delivers two proven, research-based programs – the Nurse-Family Partnership and the Incredible Years – to focus on prevention efforts for low-income children and deliver on the promise of helping every child “thrive.”
