Tennyson Center for Children Engages GroundFloor Media as Outsourced Communications Partner

GFM to provide expertise in media relations, social media and advertising strategy, and donor relations

DENVER, Oct. 15, 2014 – GroundFloor Media (GFM), a Denver-based marketing communications agency specializing in public relations, social media strategy & engagement, digital & creative services and crisis & issues management, announced today that it has been hired by Tennyson Center for Children (TCC) to serve as the organization’s outsourced communications partner while it conducts a search for a new director of marketing and communications. GFM will provide the nonprofit with media relations and donor relations support, as well as strategic counsel related to social media and advertising. GFM and TCC have a long-standing relationship; TCC was GFM’s pro bono client from 2003-2010, and agency founder Laura Love serves on the TCC board of directors.

In addition to traditional media relations support, specific efforts will include the development of donor outreach materials related to Colorado Gives Day and the holiday giving season, strategic counsel concerning holiday-related TV and radio media buys, and the development and execution of a paid Facebook advertising campaign. In addition, GFM will provide a team member to serve on-site at TCC as an extension of its in-house marketing and development team.

“Given our history with Tennyson Center and our passion for its mission, we are honored to again serve as the organization’s communications partner while they search for a new marketing and communications director,” said Love. “We look forward to working as an integral part of TCC’s marketing team to continue to build awareness for the vital work the agency does to give hope to children who have survived abuse and neglect.”

Tennyson Center for Children provides residential and therapeutic services, as well as a K-12 school, to Colorado children who have survived severe abuse or neglect, or have significant mental health or developmental issues.

“We are excited to again partner with GroundFloor Media to help us raise the profile of our organization, especially during the upcoming holiday season,” said Micah Abram, TCC’s chief development officer. “Our story is a compelling one – we have been providing help and hope to Colorado children for 110 years – and we look forward to working with GFM to develop an integrated approach to sharing that story leveraging earned, paid and social media platforms.”
