Each quarter, we have our state-of-the-agency meeting. Although many of us have been working together for some time, we always start the meeting with an icebreaker. At our December meeting, the icebreaker was, “What are you currently reading?” It was a lively discussion and had the entire staff scrambling to write down the various titles. The list ranged from the popular Gone Girl to the parenting book How Eskimos Keep Their Babies Warm: And Other Adventures in Parenting, George Carlin’s autobiography Last Words to CEO of Patagonia’s Let My People Go Surfing: The Education of a Reluctant Businessman.
