Jon Woods and I are in full SXSWi mode and will once again be posting regular updates to the GFM blog throughout the conference. Its easy to tell already that more and more of the 30,000+ attendees are arriving early to the conference. From multiple “pre-SXSW Kickoff” Thursday night parties to the lines at the Austin airport, the buzz is already here.
If you’d like to follow along, here’s what we’ll be up to for the next five days:
The GFM Blog: Much like previous years, we’ll be blogging updates from the conference a couple of times each day. Mornings you will find our “Favorites” from Austin including the best food and libations we’ve found, any celebrity-ish sightings, things we overheard and any free schwag or great marketing activations we run across.
Case in point: When we arrived at the Austin-Bergstrom Airport the taxi line was roughly 300+ people long. Car2Go has easily been our favorite service thus far. Jon’s subscription allowed us to skip the line, hop in a Smart Car and make it downtown in 15 minutes. Thanks, Car2Go!
Each afternoon we’ll also be posting our top takeaways from that day’s sessions. Check back later today to for updates from Friday’s discussions and presentations.
