GFM @ SXSWi: Saturday Favorites

Saturday was packed full of great sessions, so getting out and about was limited. Despite the rain, we still managed to get out and see quite a bit on day 2 of SXSWi:

NomNom: Jon stopped by the Driskill Hotel for a late lunch and ran across what he is calling the best brussels sprouts on the planet. I don’t doubt him.

Libations: We stopped by Frank once again for happy hour, and you honestly can’t beat their signature cocktail list. If you go, try the Kentucky Peach or the Dirty South.

Celebrity-ish Sighting: Wayne Brady was hanging out in the Samsung Blogger Lounge Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately we didn’t have any Who’s Line is it Anyway props…

Grab Bag: The “gummy bear brat” is easily the strangest menu item we’ve seen to date.

Free Stuff Rules: Simple concept, but brands who scrambled to create and give out free umbrella swag are timely, and super smart.

Overheard: “Daylight Savings is the worst concept ever.” – Everyone at SXSW

Through the Lens: An art installation made completely out of packaging tape at an establishment on Rainey Street.
