Challenge
Since 1984, Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado (VOC) has been motivating and enabling people to become active stewards of Colorado’s natural resources. VOC works with conservation and land agencies and relies on thousands of people annually to provide a volunteer workforce for outdoor stewardship projects. As a key Noble partner, the company sought to increase employee volunteer participation and leverage its brand awareness in the environmental space through its partnership with VOC.
Solution
GroundFloor Media and CenterTable activated a storytelling campaign to tell the story of Noble’s direct financial support, in-kind donations (e.g., donated computers, audiovisual equipment, office furniture and a project vehicle for the VOC office at the Dos Chappell Bathhouse inside Denver’s Washington Park). Additionally, more than a dozen Noble Colorado employees from the Denver and Greeley offices volunteered for the Historical Cabin Trail construction at Staunton State Park in Pine, Colo. Noble employees also worked on area trails and stream crossings on the Wigwam Trail in the 120,000-acre Lost Creek Wilderness Area, about 60 miles southwest of Denver. With these storytelling components, the team drafted an article, social media content and developed a video.
