As we continue to watch the events around the coronavirus pandemic unfold, we want to provide information to the community on how to best support Colorado’s smaller nonprofits that may need assistance during this volatile time. We’re seeing the power of a few dozen people reaching out to their personal networks, nonprofits/business connections and neighbors on #DoingMyPartCO. Let’s maximize the reach of these inspirational messages, ideas and actions to help continue to raise awareness. Below are resources/tips that will be regularly updated.

- - Virtual Tip Jar a list of service industry staff Venmo (or CashApp or PayPal) handles, that can be compiled and shared widely, and give people an opportunity to chip in some money to support workers. Service industry staff can put their info in here.

  - Visit COVID-19 Response Fund Boulder County for funding opportunities in Boulder County. They will also showcase “Grantee Spotlights” on their blog.
  - How to help feed unemployed workers, hospital staff, school kids and others in need around Denver.
  - The Colorado Artist Relief Fund is a partnership between Denver Arts & Venues, The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Colorado Creative Industries and RedLine Contemporary Art Center. Applications will open April 1.
  - Colorado Restaurant Response. initiative re-hires restaurant workers and keeps them employed during this challenging time to prepare and distribute healthy, ready-to-eat meals to food insecure families and unemployed service workers across the Denver metro area.
  - Sign-up to be a pen pal through Can’d Aid and they will connect you with a senior citizen in need of some social interaction during the quarantine. Learn More.
  - The Women’s Foundation of Colorado announces their Women and Families of CO Relief Fund (WFCO Relief Fund) for COVID-19 relief and recovery for organizations serving Colorado women and their families. Rapid-response grant applications are due Tuesday, April 14 by 5 p.m. MDT.
  - CDHS is continuing to provide services to Coloradans during this difficult time. This website also offers resources for people who may be struggling to pay their bills.
  - If you’re looking for ways to help your fellow Coloradans, please look through this list of organizations that are seeking volunteers and donations.

Grant and Small Business Funding

Colorado Small Businesses Can Apply for SBA Loans: Colorado small businesses can begin applying for low-interest federal disaster loans through the Small Business Administration (SBA) Economic Injury Disaster Program. The state received its declaration on March 26, making these loans available. Eligible entities can receive loans up to $2 million, and interest rates would be no higher than 3.75%.
