Laura Love launched GroundFloor Media out of her Boulder basement more than 21 years ago. The agency has been recognized 10 times by OUTSIDE magazine as one of the top 10 “Best Places to Work” in America (twice at No. 1). Entrepreneurship is her passion and community involvement is her way of life. She is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer and serves on the Mental Health Family Advisory Council at Children’s Hospital Colorado. She has served on the boards of Havern School, Tennyson Center for Children, Center for Women’s Health Research, Downtown Denver Inc., Early Milestones Colorado and Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center. In 2015, she helped create the Get Grounded Foundation, the agency’s private 501(c)(3) charitable arm, and in 2016 she led the agency in becoming a Certified B Corporation® through the global nonprofit B Lab®.
Mom, entrepreneur and philanthropic business leader
In her spare time, Laura likes to dabble in real estate investing, is a frustrated interior designer and appreciates knocking things off of her annual “52 Things to Do This Year” bucket list. You can usually find her sitting at a warming hut near Vail because she can’t keep up with her daredevil kids, sampling tequila in Mexico, listening to live country music, trying her hand at a Barefoot Contessa recipe or attempting to eat all 50 flavors of pure awesomeness from a Jelly Belly bag.
