Despite a record of academic success, innovative programming and community engagement, the district struggled with a significant challenge: reaching and resonating with a highly specific—and often skeptical—local audience. The communications team needed a strategic partner to help reach their goal to not only increase visibility, but to build trust, shift perception and authentically showcase the meaningful work being done in Jefferson County.

Formerly called the Auraria Higher Education Center, Auraria Campus is a historic community in the heart of downtown Denver that provides and manages shared services, facilities and property for the three prominent higher education institutions on the campus. Despite its central location and long tenure in Denver, Auraria Campus was not widely known beyond its students and faculty. GroundFloor Media was selected to create a brand identity to announce the rename and establish Auraria Campus as a hidden gem within Denver — a community-minded, opportunity-rich destination with multifaceted appeal and lasting relevance.

The Zarlengo Foundation Learning Evaluation Center (LEC) was formed in 2016 and serves as a trusted resource for many families and professionals in Colorado. However, there was a misperception that the LEC was only available to students enrolled at Havern School, a school for students with learning disabilities that shares a campus with the LEC. The LEC team engaged our creative services team to develop a brand identity that would highlight their team of experts who help Denver students and families navigate the complex learning evaluation and education processes with confidence.
